Privacy and data protection

Partner Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CartPer collects, uses, stores and protects information when technicians and service partners use the CartPer Partner mobile application and related services.

Last updated:

Policy summary CartPer Partner is designed for authorised technicians and service partners. We use partner account information, booking activity, device information and location data to provide booking assignments, partner availability, job coordination, safety, support and related operational services.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the CartPer Partner Android application, the partner dashboard and associated services operated under the CartPer brand.

By using the app, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy and according to the permissions and choices available on your device.

2. Information we collect

Partner account information

Name, mobile number, worker or partner ID, login credentials, assigned service categories, city, account status and profile information.

Precise location

GPS-based latitude, longitude, accuracy, location-update time and online or availability status, subject to the permissions granted on the device.

Booking and work activity

Booking offers, acceptance or rejection, assignment details, visit status, estimates, service progress, completion information and related operational records.

Device and notification data

Firebase Cloud Messaging token, app version, device platform, notification delivery information and technical identifiers needed to provide app functionality.

Technical and security data

IP address, server logs, authentication records, timestamps, error information and security events.

Support communications

Messages, complaints, requests, feedback and other information you provide when contacting CartPer.

3. Precise and background location

Important location disclosure

CartPer Partner collects precise location data to enable live technician availability, nearby booking assignment, dispatch coordination and job tracking, even when the app is closed or not in use.

Location is a core part of the partner service because it helps CartPer determine technician availability, identify nearby eligible technicians, coordinate booking assignments and support service operations.

Depending on the permissions you grant and your device settings, location collection may continue when:

  • The app is visible and actively being used.
  • The app is minimised or running in the background.
  • The device screen is locked or turned off.
  • You are signed in and the app is maintaining partner availability or active job coordination.

When background location tracking is active, Android may display a persistent notification indicating that live location is being used.

Location data is not collected for advertising purposes and is not sold to advertisers.

Your location controls

You may change location permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling foreground or background location may prevent nearby booking offers, partner availability, live assignment and other location-based features from working correctly.

Signing out of the partner account ends the app's logged-in live-location session. Device operating-system restrictions, network delays or force-stopping the app may also affect location updates.

4. How we use information

We may use collected information to:

  • Create, authenticate and manage partner accounts.
  • Determine technician availability and eligibility for nearby booking offers.
  • Send booking alerts, assignment notifications and operational updates.
  • Open the relevant booking or offer after a notification is selected.
  • Coordinate customer visits, job progress and service completion.
  • Maintain booking, estimate, billing, commission and settlement records.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorised access and security incidents.
  • Investigate complaints, disputes and service-quality issues.
  • Provide technical support and improve app reliability.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

5. How information may be shared

We may share limited information only where reasonably necessary for the operation of the service, including with:

  • Authorised CartPer staff, city partners, technicians and service-operation personnel.
  • Customers where information is necessary to coordinate or complete an assigned service.
  • Technology and infrastructure providers that support hosting, notifications, authentication, security, communication and app operations.
  • Professional advisers, auditors or insurers where required for legitimate business purposes.
  • Government authorities, courts or law-enforcement agencies where disclosure is legally required.
  • A successor entity in connection with a business restructuring, merger, acquisition or transfer, subject to applicable safeguards.

We do not sell partner personal information or precise location data.

6. Service providers and third-party services

The app may use third-party technology services to provide essential functions. These may include:

  • Google Firebase services for cloud messaging and notification delivery.
  • Android and Google Play services for app distribution, permissions and device functionality.
  • Mapping or navigation applications opened by the user for booking-location directions.
  • Hosting, database, security and server-infrastructure providers.

Third-party services may process limited information under their own terms and privacy policies. We require service providers to use information only for permitted operational purposes where applicable.

7. Data storage and retention

Information may be stored for as long as reasonably necessary to provide partner services, maintain booking and transaction records, resolve disputes, protect users, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, the status of your partner account, an active complaint or dispute, and applicable legal requirements.

Where information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymise or securely archive it as permitted by law.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, authentication controls, restricted administrative access, server-side validation and operational monitoring.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login details, device access and account credentials.

9. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and operational requirements, you may contact us to:

  • Request access to your personal information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Ask how your information is being used.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Request account closure or deletion of eligible data.
  • Raise a privacy complaint or grievance.

Certain booking, payment, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal records may need to be retained even after an account closure request.

10. Account and data deletion requests

To request closure of your CartPer Partner account or deletion of eligible personal data, email us using the registered mobile number or email associated with your partner account.

Include the subject: CartPer Partner Account Deletion Request. We may verify your identity before processing the request.

11. Children's privacy

CartPer Partner is a business and workforce application intended for authorised adult technicians and service partners. It is not directed to children.

We do not knowingly permit children to register as technicians or service partners.

12. Data processing locations

Information may be processed on servers or through service providers located in India or other jurisdictions where our technology providers operate.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that information receives appropriate protection.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app, our services, legal requirements or data-handling practices.

When the policy is materially updated, the revised date shown at the top of this page will be changed. Where appropriate, we may also provide an in-app or account notification.
